While these light-hearted designs are for privies, they are probably most widely used for other purposes such as playhouses, garden and storage sheds, school bus shelters, or saunas on suburban and country lots.

The privy houses are of generally simple construction with easy-to-read plans that include privy pits and their proper location. It is important for you to check your local zoning regulations before building a privy (for use as a privy!). Each state may have different regulations and the condition of the soil is a prime consideration.
